About this Sitges wine tour

We leave Sitges on quiet lanes and farm tracks and head into the vineyards behind town, towards Sant Pere de Ribes. This is the coastal edge of the Penedès wine region, where vines grow on limestone soil within sight of the sea.

Along the way we stop at a few vineyards to taste their wines, each paired with local bites. You might try Xarel·lo, the best-known white grape of the Penedès, and Malvasia de Sitges, a rare local variety that almost disappeared and is now coming back.

Between stops it’s easy riding with plenty of time for photos and questions. We finish back in Sitges with the rest of the day ahead of you.

Wine tastings are for over-18s. Measures are small, there’s no pressure to finish a glass, and non-drinkers are very welcome.

How many vineyards do we visit?

Usually a few, depending on the day and who’s open. I’ll confirm the plan for your date when you book.

Can I come if I don’t drink?

Of course. The ride is lovely in its own right. Let me know when you book and I’ll plan around it.

Can we buy wine at the vineyards?

Most vineyards sell bottles, so bring a small backpack if you’d like to take some home.

Is it OK for beginners?

Yes. The route is easy and the e-bike does the climbing. If you can ride a bike, you can do this tour.
