About this Parc del Foix ride

Parc del Foix is a protected natural park in the Penedès, built around the Foix reservoir, one of the few wetlands in the region. It’s a side of Catalonia most visitors to Sitges never see.

We ride out of Sitges and over the hills into the Penedès countryside, through vineyards and past old farmhouses, before dropping down to the reservoir. Castellet castle, first built in the 10th century, sits on the rock above the water. It’s the view this ride is built around.

The extra hour gives us time to enjoy it properly before the ride back to Sitges.

Is four hours on a bike a lot?

With an e-bike and regular stops, most people find it easier than they expect. We ride at the slowest rider’s pace and stop whenever we need to.

Can we stop for food?

Bring a snack and water. If your group would like a proper stop, tell me when you book and I’ll plan it in.

When is the best time of year?
